Gloria de los Angeles Trevino Ruiz is a Mexican singer, dancer, actress, music video director, television hostess and entrepreneur who was born on February 15, 1968 in Monterrey, a city in the Northeastern state of Nueva Leon in Mexico. She is currently 55 years old and bears the Aquarius birth sign. She is a very influential figure in the Latin Music community and due to her style, she has oftentimes been likened to American pop singer Madonna, as such, she is referred to as the Madonna of Mexico. Due to her Mexican roots, Trevi is a Latino woman who hails from a Christian home and such follows the same faith.

Parents and Sibling(s).

She was born to Manuel Trevino Cantu (father) and Gloria Ruiz Arrendodo (mother). Her parents hail from the city of Monterrey and little is known about their occupations. She is not an only child. She has a brother, Luis Trevino, who works as a film director for Badland films.

She birthed the dream of a being a popstar at an early age and began perfecting her craft and writing songs. After things were moving slow in her hometown of Monterrey, she relocated to Mexico City to pursue her music career. She however took the first step into her professional journey in 1985 when together with some close female friends and singers, they formed a group by the name of Boquitas Pintadas. However, this group enjoyed a very short glory and split up. In 1988, together with Sergio Andrade, she planned her first studio album “Que Hago Aqui”? (What Am I Doing Here). Fast forward 1991, following the success of her first studio album, Trevi released her second studio album which she titled “Tu Angel de la Guarda” (Your Guardian Angel). In 1993, Trevi kickstarted her acting career by starring in the movie “Zapatos Viejos”. In 1995, she released her final album to be produced by Sergio Andrade entitled “Si Me Llevas Contigo” (If You Take Me With You).
