Brian Thompson, who was professionally known as BTB Savage was a rising American rapper who was known for his music which was centred around violence, scamming and the street. He hails from Cleveland, Ohio but moved across a host of cities till he settled at San Antonio, Texas and according to reports, he was born in 1997 which leaves him at the age of 26 at the time of his death. He was brought up in a very rough and under-privileged environment which left him with no option than to resort to hustling in order to fend for himself and to help his family. Growing up, he wanted to be a basketball player but he developed a deep-seated passion to pursue music and since he had insufficient funds to pursue and push his music career, he resorted to scamming to help finance his music. In an interview with “Dirty Glove Bastard” on YouTube, he revealed how he was he caught on one of his scamming operations in South Korea. He went by “Mr. B.O.A (Bank of America) as his scamming moniker. His initials “BTB” stands for “Break The Bank”. He recorded a number of songs in his career such as “TOO MUCH MOTION”, “Scam Story”, “My Turn” among others. He had a YouTube which boasted of 17 thousand subscribers. By the time of his death, he had amassed over 100 thousand followers on his Instagram profile. He was an African-American and was believed to hail from a Christian home.

He dissed the home invader by posting a picture of himself holding a fat wad of cash standing in a dried-up pool of blood of the home-invader with the caption “Too much motion”. Prior to him posting the picture, he went on an interview on VladTV detailing the home invasion and bragging about it. This did not sit well with the homeboys of his victim and in an ambush on the 2100 block of Mid Lane, Houston, he was shot and killed. He was killed on March 30, 2023. According to reports, he was driving a white Mercedes when the suspects arrived in black Subaru and let out multiple shots which led to his death. The shooting was a targeted incident in retaliation of him killing the home-invader and bragging about it. He succumbed to his gun wounds and died on the scene. His death proves how gun violence is a canker in the black community and also being disrespectful to other people can be detrimental to one’s self.
