Kalabrya Gondrezick-Haskins was born on July 27,1997 in Benton Harbor Michigan. She is the daughter of Grant Gondrezick and Lisa Harvey-Gondrezick, both former basketball players. Her father was a player in the NBA, playing for Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers, while her mother played in WNBA with Houston Comets. She also has a youngest sister, Kysre who plays basketball for the Indiana Fever.
From an early age, Kalabrya was introduced to basketball by his parents – the two famous athletes. She went to Benton Harbor High School, where she was the team star and runner up for Miss Basketball Award in Michigan 2015. She was also a good student and belonged to the National Honor Society.

College Career and Education

Kalabrya graduated from high school, won a scholarship to play basketball for Michigan State University. 2015 saw her join the Spartans for four seasons as a guard. She was a dependable all-rounder, capable of both offensive and defensive games. In 2016 and in In 2019, she also graduated with a degree in Kinesiology from the university.
Kalabrya opted not to play professional basketball after college but stayed in the beauty and wellness field where her heart was. She registered in a medical aesthetics course at the National Laser Institute, Scottsdale, Arizona where she learnt how to do different cosmetic operations like laser hair removal and botox injection among others. 2020 graduated from the program and became a certified medical aesthetician, cosmetic laser practitioner.

Marriage and Motherhood

Kalabrya met Dwayne Haskins in 2018, when he was a quarterback for Ohio State University. They started dating and fell in love. They got engaged in 2020 and tied the knot on March 19, 2021, in a lavish ceremony in Las Vegas. They had two children together, a son named Dwayne Jr. and a daughter named Kali.

Kalabrya and Dwayne had a happy and supportive marriage, despite some challenges and controversies. Kalabrya also filed a lawsuit against the driver of the truck, the trucking company, and the Florida Department of Transportation, claiming that they were responsible for Dwayne’s death. She alleged that the driver was negligent and reckless, that the trucking company failed to properly train and supervise the driver, and that the department failed to maintain safe and adequate lighting and signage on the highway. She sought damages for wrongful death, loss of consortium, pain and suffering, and funeral expenses.

Life After Dwayne

Kalabrya struggles with the pain and sorrow of losing her husband, as well as attempting to bring up two small children. She has been relying on her faith, family and friends for shelter and solace. She is also seeing a therapist and counsellor to help her heal from the past incident.
Despite the tragedy, Kalabrya hasn’t abandoned her dreams and goals. She is currently employed as a medical aesthetician at a spa in Pittsburgh that offers different beauty and wellness services to its customers. She is also gaining her social media popularity where she posts any tips related to fashion, lifestyle and fitness for his followers.  Kalabrya has also been solving Dwayne’s memory by commemorating his accomplishments, throwing a party on his birthday and visiting the grave. In addition, she has begun efforts to educate and raise funds for the Dwayne Haskins Foundation is a non-profit charity established in 2020 by Dwayne that aimed at supporting youth sports education & health initiatives in underprivileged communities. Additionally, she has been cheering on the Steelers, Commanders and Ohio State—the teams Dwayne played for and adored.
