Chioma Rowland, a fiancé of Nigerian artist Davido, has denied rumors in her relationship that she has endured domestic violence.

One 's mother, popularly named The Chef Chi, wrote on her Instagram handle that the singer never lifted his hands on her, and she never pushed him to do so.

Her reaction comes after some blogs claimed that the two had ceased to be together because of some violence in their home.

The rumors escalated when Davido shared a photograph of his wounded leg with the caption "I just wanted to sit in one place like DND."

Many people had assumed the ‘If’ singer’s injury was a result of an altercation between him and his lover.

Chioma claims, however, that domestic violence is an immense problem not to be played with and that reports should not be made without checking.

“Never has there ever been an incident of abuse in my home. He has never in his life lifted a finger to touch me and I have never so much as even pushed him. I believe with everything we peddle as human beings whether offline or online, we should have a bit of fear of God more so when speaking on things we know absolutely nothing of.”

She stated that she felt the need to to respond to rumours for the first time because of its severity.

She added that if the rumours of abuse persist she will be forced to take legal action against people peddling the falsehood.
