Shane is a Pelican Town inhabitant who is frequently unpleasant and miserable, and suffers from melancholy and alcoholism. However, his attitude toward any player who decides to befriend him begins to shift. He works most days between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at JojaMart, and he typically spends his evenings at The Stardrop Saloon after work. He doesn’t work on weekends unless it’s raining, and he’s always around the ranch.

When Shane is at JojaMart, his clothing changes to a Joja Corporation uniform in the Social Status option. He’s one of twelve characters who can be married.
