Lukewarm water is exactly what your hair needs. It provides enough shine but it doesn’t dry out like hot water does. So, when you are washing your hair out, make sure you are using lukewarm water. If you want an extra shine at the end, you can make it a little cooler but I would recommend for general shampoo conditioner wash, keep it neutral.
