Lola Iolani’s birth
The first member of the Momoa family, Lola Iolani Momoa, was born to Momoa and Bonet on July 21, 2007. The Hawaiian Game of Thrones actor chose the middle name Iolani because he wanted to pay tribute to his heritage.
In an interview with Esquire published in (2019), he described how he came close to missing the birth of his daughter. Bonet went into labor before her due date when the actor was filming a movie in Canada. “Around seventy phone calls went unanswered. And when I awoke, I completely lost it.” He grabbed the final available seat on a trip back to the States.
