The comedian Nathan Fielder is the brains behind the docu-reality series Nathan for You, in which he based the titular character on his younger self. Fielder has acknowledged that, for the purpose of comedic impact, he has exaggerated certain elements of himself. Having said that, he has also said that the character is still mostly him, but that it focuses more on the worries and flaws that he had when he was younger. And despite the fact that Fielder has no qualms about revealing pieces of himself through the characters he creates, the comic book artist has very rarely spoken publicly about his personal life.
Nathan Fielder and his former wife
Since Fielder doesn’t talk much about his personal life, there isn’t much information about him outside of his work. The entertainer was previously married to Sarah Ziolkowska. Despite their divorce, he and his ex-wife had known each other since they were kids in Canada. As a profession, she worked as a children’s librarian. When exactly he married his now-ex-wife is a mystery, but they officially called it quits in 2014. As many news sources have said, the divorce was finalized on April 16, 2015, in the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles, California.
Fielder revealed to the A.V. Club in 2015 that he had divorced his ex-wife. He stated in the interview that he found it fascinating to see other people take an interest in his work and television programs, but he himself was not one of them. He also said he was at a loss for words about his recent divorce. Fielder noted that even though their breakup was amicable, he was nevertheless affected emotionally.
“Despite the fact that it was extremely friendly, it was one of the heaviest things.” “I didn’t know what to say,” he said. “But I’m in a good place, and I believe that’s similar to how you’re perceiving it—not that it’s equal to cancer, but you know.” [Pause.] Divorce is clearly much worse than disease. “I’m sorry, I’m joking!”
On-Screen Romance for Nathan Fielder
After talking to A.V. Club about his divorce, Fielder has been quite private about his personal life. The final scene in Nathan For You showed him with a woman named Maci, and it was the last time we saw him in a romantic connection. In the two-hour special episode, Fielder goes on a quest to help a Bill Gates impersonator named Bill Heath locate Frances, the love of his childhood.
Fielder encounters a lady called Maci, a paid escort while doing so. The two go on many dates in the following order. Fielder provides narration in various moments, outlining the progression of their relationship and his views about it. In one case, he mentions how tough it is to distinguish between the program and real life.
The more we shot, the more difficult it was to tell where the show ended and life began.”
