Easy Guide to Get More Stardew Valley Copper Bars, Uses, Selling Price

Why is Stardew Valley Copper bar so important? So, I was playing Stardew Valley and when I realized you could upgrade your tools at the blacksmith. I mainly wanted to upgrade my watering can to a copper watering can so I needed to find some copper, I needed copper bars in order to do this and it took me a little while to figure out how to make those, so I decided to provide this article here to help anyone else who may be trying to figure it out as well.

What is Stardew Valley Copper Bar?

Smelting 5 Copper Ore in a furnace with 1 coal as fuel produces a Copper Bar. It takes 30 minutes in-game to smelt copper in a furnace. When slain, Shadow Brutes and Shadow Shaman may also drop a Copper Bar (and that is 4 percent chance).

Copper bars are used to enhance tools and are utilized in a variety of crafting methods. They sell for 60g or 90g if you have the Blacksmith Profession.

How to Get Some Copper Ore in Stardew Valley

So, in order to make copper bars you first need to make a furnace. But there’s a catch. You won’t be able to make a furnace until you have collected a piece of copper Ore.  Now, to get a piece of copper Ore you need to head on over to the mines. The mines are located in the upper right corner of the map which I will like a pictorial location of the map below. Once you are in there what you need to do is to break rocks until one of them gives you copper Ore. Keep in mind however that not every rock you break gives copper Ore so it may take a little bit of searching before you finally get a piece.

How to Make or Craft Copper Furnace in Stardew Valley

Now once you have your first piece of copper you can learn how to make a furnace. You can do this by going home and going to bed. The next morning when you leave your house a scene will be triggered where Clint the blacksmith shows up and he gives you the blueprint to make a furnace. At this point you can make a furnace now.

What you need to do now is to go under the crafting tab in the menu to see the materials needed in order to build one. What you need is 20 pieces of copper ore and 25 stones. It shouldn’t take too long to get the materials if you spend a little bit of time inside of the mines. You can also buy copper ore from Clint at his shop, but you may not have enough money for that. So, once you’ve gathered all your materials and made your furnace you can finally make copper bars, but you probably don’t have the materials to do that yet because you just used everything you collected in order to make the furnace.

How to Make Copper Bars in Stardew Valley

To make copper bars you need five pieces of copper Ore and one piece of coal which will make one copper bar. You have a chance of finding coal from normal rocks when you mined them and you can also sometimes get them from the chest that pops up while fishing. Now once you have collected all the materials head to your furnace and put everything in. Your furnace should then light up and after a little wait your copper bar will be ready.
