Born from a middle-class family.
Many of you may have assumed she comes from a rich family, but this is not the case. The artist was reared in the same manner as any other regular girl from a middle-class household. In terms of her parents, her mother ran a childcare facility while her father was an Army developer. Keri was always fascinated and enthralled by the prospect of a career in music. Despite her mother’s middle-class status, she hired a piano tutor. She switched from piano to vocal sessions as she became more interested in singing. She had a contract with the D’Signe group when she was 14 years old; regrettably, that group disbanded.
Keri Hilson’s Professional career
Keri began her career as a songwriter for a Japanese vocalist, with the song Jump. Adding to that, while she was a teenager, she worked with Anthony Dent (producer) as a lyricist and backup singer. Keri graduated from Tucker High School and afterward attended Emory University’s Oxford College, where she majored in drama. She also became a member of the production and songwriting teams as a result of her hard work and devotion. She was then unstoppable, and the rest is history.
