Radonda Vaught, a 38-year-old former nurse, from Bethpage, Tennessee was convicted of manslaughter and gross negligence against a 75-year-old patient. Radonda was admitted as a Registered Nurse in February 2015 and worked at Vanderbilt University’s medical center. In 2012 she enrolled at Western Kentucky University.
Her license as a nurse was revoked by the Tennessee Nursing Association in 2021. Radonda Vaught killed 75-year-old patient Charlene Murphey by injecting her with the wrong medicine. The patient was to receive her Versed, but Radonda gave her Vecuronium instead. Not only was she a registered nurse, but with her husband, she runs a company called Horney Outdoor Clothing.
