The renowned tattoo artist, reality actress, musician, and businesswoman has announced the closure of her tattoo parlor, High Voltage, in Los Angeles.
Von D made the revelation on her verified Instagram account, which was the setting for the TLC reality series “L.A. Ink.”
Her family has decided to relocate from Los Angeles to Indiana after “recently purchasing a beautiful home on a bit of acreage in rural Indiana, and the more time we spend out there, the more we realize we feel more at home there than we do here in LA,” she explained.
“As a result, on December 1st, I will be closing my beloved tattoo shop @highvoltagetat in West Hollywood. I didn’t believe it made sense to keep it open if I wasn’t there, and we don’t plan on going to LA very frequently, except to concentrate on music with my band “a caption says on a series of images.
“We’ll be celebrating the HvT heritage this next month and a half by tattooing regularly at the shop,” she said, “and encourage all of you to come in and get tattooed by one of my brilliant fellow artists in the month of November!”
“Thank you for 14 years of love and tattooing!” Von D wrote at the end of her message.
